Harriet is a young lady who has been singing with Simon Long and Fine Voice Academy for several years. Harriet’s early public performances with Simon and FVA stood her in great stead when she was the opening number for Portsmouth’s Music Hub Concert at Portsmouth Guildhall in June 2015 with ‘Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again’, from Phantom of the Opera. As her singing developed, Harriet spent a short period in Italy receiving some classical tutorage from Simon’s own operatic teacher, Marcello Merlini along with other FVA students. Her singing has led her to various charity events and local shows, as both a professional soloist and as part of the choir. Her first major professional event was in December 2016, to sing at a
wedding as the bride entered and walked up the aisle; with Nella Fantasia. Then in April 2017, Harriet enjoyed the opportunity of classical opera teaching with Alyona Kistenyova. Leading to an evening concert of classical Italian opera music performing as part of the choir and a soloist. These are just a small selection of the many events Harriet has been part of as she continues to develop into a professional soloist with classical training.
